The Incredible Dr. Pol on National Geographic was canceled after 24 seasons of broadcasting. Since 2011, the “Incredible” Dr. Jan Pol has been a staple on television sets throughout the nation thanks to his popular Nat Geo Wild reality series, which followed him and the goings-on in his small-town Michigan veterinary clinic. For almost 50 years, Pol and his spouse Diane have been providing animal care on television. They can be seen doing this on the Dr. Pol main series and the newly launched spin-off, The Incredible Pol Farm.
The Incredible Dr. Pol was canceled after 13 years and 24 seasons, prompting many to question why the popular reality show was eventually dropped. According to What’s on Disney Plus, National Geographic confirmed that the show would conclude on June 21. The network premiered the show’s finale on July 6. The series finale season was also reported to be returning to Disney+ and Hulu in the US later this year on October as part of the cancelation.
The Nat Geo Wild show’s cancelation hasn’t been given a particular explanation, but it might have something to do with the Pol family and their other recently launched series, The Incredible Pol Farm. Dr. Jan Pol, also known as The Incredible Dr. Pol, said that he loved working on both shows and that, at least at the time of the blog post, he seemed to believe his original series will continue when asked if the new spin-off series was going to replace The Incredible Dr. Pol (via TheDrPol.com):
Is The Incredible Dr. Pol being replaced by it? A: “No, no, no. I enjoy conducting the show because we get to hear firsthand accounts of people’s experiences learning how to care for animals. This is really crucial.” Given that The Incredible Pol Farm has continued and The Incredible Dr. Pol has since concluded, it appears that the show was canceled at some point following Pol’s remarks, particularly considering how certain Pol seemed to be about extending both programs.
However, this does not imply that the 81-year-old intends to slow down. The adored TV veteran claims that there is still more stuff available outside of The Incredible Pol Farm. Following the news of his show’s termination, Pol praised the television series that made him famous on Instagram:

The TV veterinarian teased “more great content” from the Pol family in his heartfelt post, which may have been a hint at another spin-off from the continuing Incredible Pol Farm series: “I appreciate your participation in this incredible experience. Your excitement has added value to every second. Watch ‘The Incredible Dr. Pol’ and our new series ‘The Incredible Pol Farm,’ which are available to stream globally on Disney+, while you wait for more fantastic content.”
