Okpa, pronounced Ọkpa, is an Igbo delicacy made with Bambara nuts, a type of bean.
It is popular in Enugu state and considered a traditional Nigerian delicacy. It is not only consumed by the Igbo, nor is it universal among the Igbo (most typical of Enugu State); other ethnic groups frequently eat it (with pap or by itself), and it is possible that it is most common (outside of Igboland) in Niger State.
Other Igbo names for okpa are ịgba and ntucha. In Hausa, it is known as gurjiya or kwaruru.
