According to Titans senior writer Jim Wyatt on Friday morning, the Tennessee Titans have signed to contracts with 16 undrafted free agents, including two former Tennessee Volunteers. Former Tennessee and Vanderbilt defensive back Gabe Jeudy-Lally and Memphis native Jabari Small have both agreed to agreements as undrafted free agents for the University of Tennessee. Of the sixteen players, Small and Jeudy-Lally are the only two from the SEC.
On the same day that the Titans begin rookie minicamp, which runs until the end of the weekend on May 13, the agreement with Small and Jeudy-Lally is also announced. Next, on May 13, the Titans’ rookie football development programme kicks off, followed by ten days of amateur amateur training (OTAs) from May 20 to June 13. Small had a career-high 796 yards, nine touchdowns, and a career-high average of 5.6 yards per attempt in 2021—by far his best season statistically speaking. Despite injuries, the rise of Jaylen Wright, and Heupel’s multi-running back scheme taking a toll on his numbers, Small remained an essential component of Tennessee’s run attack and finished his last two seasons with 17 touchdowns.
